Face Mask Production Timeline Update - April 9, 2020
Things are HAPPENING at Inked Gaming for us. We have moved over the 20K donations mark this week, added two new sewing machines, hired multiple people, and the demand for masks keeps coming in.
We want to first thank you, our community, for making this possible. Without you sharing posts, telling your friends/family, and commenting on our social media threads, this would have never got to this point. Your passion made us more motivated everyday, and we’re hoping to keep this momentum going for as long as our healthcare workers and our community needs these masks.
We have been receiving numerous messages about production time, and for good reason. It is recommended now by most governments around the world for you to wear a face covering anytime you go out in public. Team Inked has been using these face coverings when going out shopping for groceries, and sharing them with our loved ones and friends so that they are able to get to work safely, go out to get medications, and live their lives as safely as possible. The reception among our friends has been great.
In our warehouse, our initial seamstress team consisted of two extremely talented people, Deanne and Hannah. They are the ones that have been doing most of the heavy lifting when it comes to making your masks. They have been working long hours to make sure we’re keeping up. Additionally, our warehouse workers Matt, JT, and Kelsey have been hard at work making sure all of your masks are printed, cut out, and ready for our seamstress team. Thank you warehouse! It has been amazing hearing the numbers you’re putting out everyday.
Things took a turn when President Donald Trump announced last Friday afternoon that everyone should be wearing masks when going out. Our demand for these masks increased dramatically, and our CEO, Thomas, has been working hard getting the groundwork laid for the incoming boom of orders hitting us.
We state that our timeline for production is 4-7 days, but we are working so hard to get them out sooner as we know how important it is for people to have them.
So, if you’re waiting on your order, just know that we are doing everything we can to meet the demand for these masks, while still doing it safely and practicing social distancing throughout everywhere at Inked Gaming. We are excited where we are at, and we are excited about the impact we are making across the country!
Stay tuned for more updates from Inked in the coming days on masks, and many more projects that we are working on during this pandemic.
Stay safe, stay well, and much love,
Team Inked
