Pokémon TCG Live App Coming Soon
This announcement was made earlier this week, and after reading through some stories, including the ones on Pokémon TCG’s official site, we thought you would enjoy learning more about it as well. We knew that 2021 would be packed with surprises, especially with so much going on for Pokémon's 25th Anniversary, but this latest news wasn’t on our radar until just recently.
The Pokémon TCG Live App will allow Trainers/players to do what they do best via a free-to-play app that will be available on iOS and Android. The app itself is meant to make our favorite parts of the game, like deck-building, card collecting, easier and more convenient overall. Plus, there are some new features being added that will make the experience more enjoyable as well.
Word is, we can expect custom avatars, new accessories, and fresh daily challenges that everyone will look forward to participating in. There have even been some statements made from the top about how the app will look to improve and preserve what Trainers love most about the game. Specifically, in how it relates to the physical version.
Barry Sams, the VP of Pokémon TCG, said: “Pokémon TCG Live will go hand in hand with the tabletop version that fans know and love. It welcomes a new era of digital play where Trainers around the world can play together regardless of their preferred platform.” We’re liking the sound of this so far.
Pokémon TCG Live is set to take the place of the Pokémon TCG online app. Before that app is closed and the new one releases, there will be an open beta available on Mac and Windows PC. There’s still time left on the calendar this year, which is why we can expect that beta and a soft launch to come out sometime in the next few months.
You can get more specific info on Pokémon TCG’s official website. They’ve put together a nice page that’s dedicated to keeping you informed on the details that we know so far and the details that have yet to be released. You can even get a glimpse of some of those cool customization options that we mentioned earlier as well. We’ll leave the link to that page HERE. Be sure to keep that page in your favorites if you want to catch all the updates that are bound to come out over the coming weeks and months.
Sincerely,
Inked Gaming
