Pokémon World Championships Bans Blaine's Quiz Show Card
With the Pokémon TCG World Championships coming up on August 16 - 18, the Pokémon Company announced an interesting card ban this week. On August 5, the @PlayPokemon Twitter page sent out an alert that the card Blaine’s Quiz Show will no longer be legal for the tournament.
Attention all #PokemonTCG Trainers! Due to potential issues it may cause at multilingual tournaments, the newly released Supporter card Blaine’s Quiz Show will not be legal for play at the 2019 Pokémon World Championships in both official competitive play and side events.

Card From The Pokemon Company
As they stated in their tweet, this supporter card has been banned because of the complications it could cause in multilingual play. Translations of the cards and the attacks that they each have can vary from card to card and language to language. So, there could potentially be unfair advantage between players. This issue is something that had been brought up recently by Stéphane Ivanoff, Pokémon TCG NA International Champion for 2018 and 2019 and article writer for PokeBeach, in a Facebook post.

As this is a newly released card, it is unclear how many players were planning on bringing it to Worlds. However, it is important to note that the card has only been banned at worlds so far. It will still be legal for regular play in the future.
Don't forget to be awesome!
