The Weekly Wave

Welcome back to the Weekly Wave! Let’s see what news, updates, and announcements have risen to the surface this week!

Another rare MTG Black Lotus is on the auction block!

We know that we’ve covered multiple stories like this in the past, but whenever a rare Black Lotus grows out of the grass and makes its way to an auction block, we feel obligated to give you the scoop. A lot of rare Black Lotuses have been popping up over these last few years, one of which is in Post Malone’s possession after a whopping $800K bid.

MTG Black Lotus

Even though this particular Black Lotus is signed and scored a PSA 10 grade (GEM MINT), it’s unlikely that it will come close to such a price tag. However, with one day left and the current bid up to $260,000, it looks like this Black Lotus can collect a significant sum for one collector. I was knocked out of the bidding on Monday after it went over $220,000. Some of us have budgets, you know?

Just like the other signed Black Lotuses that are floating around out there, this one is also signed by artist Christopher Rush, who is the original illustrator behind this powerful flower. So, with this signature and the highest PSA grade available, it’s no wonder why fans are calling this card another Holy Grail. The only question is, how much green will it grow by tomorrow?

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet Build & Battle Box

With its first Scarlet & Violet expansion set to release later this month, Pokémon TCG is allowing Trainers to get a head start on the action with a sweet prerelease that will be available on March 17th. This prerelease features a battle format that will give gamers the opportunity to test the experience of this expansion with a 40-card deck and four promo cards. These cards will be included in the Build & Battle Box.

Whether you’re new to Pokémon TCG or a long-time Trainer just looking to get a feel for the game’s upcoming expansion, the prerelease Build & Battle Box seems to be a great option for all. If you do pick up one of these Build & Battle Boxes, you’ll find four Scarlet & Violet booster packs, the 40-card deck, and one of the four promo cards. These foil promo cards are powerful pieces that you’ll be happy to have in your deck before the expansion officially launches.

Those four foil promo cards include:

  • Quaquaval
  • Pawmot
  • Hawlucha
  • Revavroom
Pokémon Revavroom

You can get a look at all four cards up close via Pokémon’s official website. There, you’ll find more details about the cards themselves and additional info about the release and the official expansion release. Speaking of, be sure to keep March 31st circled on your calendar, as that is the launch date for this first Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet expansion.

Good luck Trainers!

New Thingamajigs designs by Hit Point Press have landed!

We told you that we would be adding more Thingamajigs Designs by Hit Point Press to our site every week, and the next piece has just dropped. This week, we are welcoming HPP’s Necromancer to the Inked Gaming art collection. The Necromancer is a stunning design that’s sure to add a nice touch of magic to your favorite game, especially if you’re an MTG Wizard. Have a peek at this playmat:

The Necromancer

As we’ve said numerous times, this is a partnership that the entire Inked Gaming team/community has been looking forward to. Based on the designs we’ve received so far, and the others that are set to drop in the coming weeks, it was well worth the wait.

When you have a chance, head over to collection page. There you will find this new Necromancer playmat and the Scorched Lotus mat that was added last week. Their social links are listed there as well. Be sure to keep that page in your favorites and keep an eye on your inbox and our blogs, that way you’re always up-to-date with the latest Thingamajigs (aka Hit Point Press) pieces that come to our collection!

Stay tuned!

That’s all for now! Stay tuned for our next edition of The Weekly Wave for more fun stories and updates!

Sincerely,
