Unlock MTG rewards from Hot Pockets pack promotion!

Do you remember watching cartoons after school or on Saturday morning and hearing that sweet “Hot Pockets” jingle when they went to a commercial? That jingle is one of many that stuck with me throughout growing up and is the main reason why the freezer was, and still is, packed with tasty pockets. 

I used to make my parents take a detour to the frozen food section and toss a couple of boxes in on our way to the checkout. Today, I’m shopping myself and still grab a box here and there. But, ever since I heard that MTG and Hot Pockets teamed up and created awesome rewards for fans, my Hot Pocket intake is going to increase significantly.

This news came out about a week ago, and I thought it would be fun to share it with fellow spellcasters who maybe haven’t been to the grocery store yet. In honor of Magic’s milestone 30th anniversary, Wizards of the Coast and Hot Pockets have partnered up and created an awesome promo for fans. 

This is a limited-time promo that gives fans special codes, which can be used to snag some sweet in-game rewards. Each MTG-marked box includes a code that you can redeem from your receipt and use to unlock in-game rewards/content. These boxes are hard to miss, as they feature mana colors and planeswalkers that fans are sure to recognize. Both the colors and the planeswalkers have been paired with a certain Hot Pocket flavor. 

Here’s the list:

• Crispy Crust Pepperoni Pizza – Red Mana with Chandra Planeswalker
• Philly Steak & Cheese – Blue Mana with Jace Planeswalker
• Italian Style Meatballs & Mozzarella – White Mana with Gideon Planeswalker
• Hickory Ham & Cheddar – Green Mana with Vivien Planeswalker

So, after you’ve filled your shopping cart with your favorite flavors, how do you go about redeeming those codes? According to MTG and Hot Pockets®, all you have to do is Go to the checkout stand and take a picture of your receipt (don’t forget your receipt). From there, you may upload the pic of your receipt, with the date and purchase in view, to Hot Pockets’ MTG upload page. 

After your receipt is uploaded, you will receive your unlock code via email. The codes unlock rewards in the following order: 

It’s worth noting that you can only redeem up to five codes, and you MUST Upload a picture of your receipt within 30 days of buying your box. Also, this promo began on March 1st and will last until June 30, 2023, with July 30, 2023, being the last day to upload any receipts.

As I said, my Hot Pocket stockpile has taken up most of the real estate in my freezer, and now you see why. Aside from the awesome in-game content you can unlock, it’s cool just to have this piece of MTG history, especially since it’s part of the 30th-anniversary celebration. I’ll definitely be saving a few boxes just to have as a keepsake. Who knows, maybe my sentimental value will lead to a big auction value 30 years from now.
